Niubalus Logistics — Longwe i kamap
Drone logistics · Papua New Guinea

Medical supplies by air, to places roads don't reach.

Niubalus Logistics flies blood, vaccines, medicines and pathology samples between hospitals and remote health centres — and carries urgent spares for industry — using long-range VTOL drones built for PNG's mountains and weather.

The problem

In PNG, distance costs lives.

Mountains, rivers and missing roads cut remote communities off from the medicines and tests they need. A trip that takes a day on foot or a costly charter flight can take a drone under an hour.

600+islands, many reached only by boat or light aircraft
20–40%of highland harvests lost before reaching market

Logistical barriers

Difficult terrain and limited infrastructure stop trucks, boats and planes from reaching many health centres reliably.

Health gaps

Inconsistent access to medical supplies widens the gap between town and village health outcomes.

Emergency delays

When blood or anti-venom is hours away, slow response times put patients at risk.

How a medical delivery works

From request to receipt.

  1. Request

The hospital or health centre books a run — routine or emergency — with our operations team.

  2. Pack

Supplies are packed in cold-chain or specimen boxes and loaded into the drone's payload bay.

  3. Fly

The drone flies a planned route beyond line of sight, tracked in real time by our pilots.

  4. Receive

It lands on the clinic's pad, staff unload and confirm, and it returns — with samples if needed.

The aircraft

Built for mountains, rain and long distances.

The Wingcopter 198 tilts its eight rotors to switch between hovering and fast forward flight. No runway, no heavy ground equipment — just a small landing pad.

Coming soon to our fleet

Bigger loads, longer routes.

Alongside the Wingcopter 198, we are preparing two larger aircraft for the PNG Sky Highway.

Skyways V3 — long-range cargo drone

A fully autonomous long-range cargo aircraft from Skyways (USA): up to 100 lb (about 45 kg) of cargo, more than 1,000 miles (about 1,600 km) of range and around 20 hours in the air. It would carry middle-mile freight from our bases to district towns, airstrips and mine sites.

Tandem helicopter drone — heavy lift

An unmanned tandem-rotor helicopter carrying up to 250 kg over 400 km — the heavy-lift connector between our bases, and a disaster-response aircraft that can hover and lower cargo where nothing can land.

The PNG Sky Highway

From one corridor to a national network.

We start where the need is greatest — the Ok Tedi corridor in Western Province — and grow base by base into a national drone network: a Port Moresby hub, regional bases across the Highlands, Islands and Milne Bay, and village drone pads that put every province within reach.

Where we work

Starting in Western Province. Planning with provinces nationwide.

Our first service area is the Kiunga–Tabubil corridor and the Star Mountains. These provincial governments and leaders have written in support of, or signed agreements for, Niubalus drone services:
